Creating or undoing system restore points in Windows 11

To create a restore point:

  1. In the search box on the taskbar, type Create a restore point, and select it from the list of results.
  2. On the System Protection tab in System Properties, select Create.
  3. Type a description for the restore point, and select Create.

To undo a restore point:

  1. Go to Control Panel and click Recovery, select “Open System Restore”.
  2. Select “Undo System Restore” and click “Next”.
  3. Click “Scan for affected programs” to see what will be changed after undoing the System Restore.
  4. Click “Finish” to complete.
